Both methods are way tooooooooooooo long the locs can be achieved using the same method for yarn braids simply get Afro kinky braids and twist wrap from the bottom up the final results are locs exactly similar to the ones above my friend gets them done all the time takes about 4-5 hours. It's nice to have different methods but i think doing box braids and then wrapping around them is too long unless they have a particular reason for that...my two cents
