Product Review: Queen Helene Cholesterol Hair Conditioning Cream

I have been using this product for months and I think it's time to share my experience with you. A good number of ladies have raved about how effective this product is and in my quest to find a moisturizing deep conditioner, I chose to give it a try.
Price:Ghs10.00,  Madina market (Also available in most cosmetic shops)
Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Stearyl Alcohol , Glyceryl Stearate , Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate , Cholesterol (choleth-24), Ceteth-24,Propylene Glycol , Diazolidinyl Urea , Methylparaben , Propylparaben , Fragrance (Parfum), Disodiium EDTA,Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Yellow 6 (CI 15985),Red 40 (CI  16035), Red 33 (CI 17200).
From amazon, raters give it 4 out of 5.

How I Use It

  •  I've used it for over night deep conditioning
  •  under the hooded dryer
  •  with body heat.
  • Heated in microwave before application

My Likes
  1. I haven't stuck to the instructions, which says to apply an amount of warm water on the hair before application but with all the methods I've tried, I love it pre-heated before use because it speeds up the deep conditioning process(I'll be sticking to that).
  2. The product size to me is not too small nor too large and am not that heavy handed with products so for me, it will take a while to get an empty bottle (except if I use it with another person-eg my god daughter.lol).
Dislikes
  1. I find the smell a bit of a put off. I'm a fan of sweet smells and prefer to have a bit of cool scents in my hair.
  2. It has no slip thus I can't detangle with it.
  3. It takes a  long time to get absorbed into the hair without oils

Thanks for the review I have always been interested in trying out this conditioner. However the fact that it has no slip is not so good for me.

How I make forever Clair Skin care products work for me

I've heard ladies complain about the forever Claire Skin care products  not working for them. Well, I nearly became one until I tweaked how I use it and since then, it's been a jolly good ride. I started using the Forever Claire products in July 2013 or so. What I've been doing is to using a cleanser first before applying any of the products. Well, I discovered the reason why the product didn't seem to be working well on its own. When using the cleanser, I'll dab a bit of cotton in it to clean my face. Apparently, it wasn't the cleanser that was doing the work, it was the cotton. The cotton was getting rid of dead cells by acting as an "exfoliating" material. It was cleaning the skin surface. One evening, I skipped the cleansing and decided to follow Hubby's method of cleaning his face. I used my sponge to gently rub the FC product on the face. This face scrubbing technique left my skin feeling soft and smooth just like when I use the cotton and cl...

The 60 Seconds Skin Care Rule

The 60 seconds rule regarding washing your face is a great technique that has been used by a lot of skin care addicts.  When washing your face, the one trick that can make a lot of difference in your skin is washing for 60 seconds! Once you apply your facial wash/cleanser/soap, you massage or sweep it around your face for 60 seconds. This allows the cleanser to penetrate the pores and clear the dirt off your skin. All the make up  can also be easily absorbed by your cleansing oil too. I began doing this technique a few weeks ago and it's definitely helped improve the feel of my skin after cleansing.  (check shop.ghanaianemprezz.com for all skin care products)
