My Facial Care Starter Pack!

Since leaving undergrad about 5 years ago, I've been battling with acne, dark spots and rough skin on the face. I've become more conscious about how  other ladies  are diversifying their focus by taking care of the whole body. Now that I've had a better workout schedule, I've done some reading on handling facial issues and have taken steps to implement a basic skin care routine to obtain the "perfect " face I want. Upon scanning through my stuff, I, actually, had basic skin care products but just wasn't utilizing them at all or appropriately!

  1. Baby face cleanser (3gh)
  2. Clean and Clear Blackhead cleanser (15gh)
  3. Forever Clair (FC) Acne Wash (7gh)
  4.  Forever Clair (FC) Exfoliating toner (I'll try the blemish control toner later)(8gh)
  5. FC Blemish control cream (7gh)
  6. FC sun screen block (8gh)
  7. FC Exfoliating soap (5gh)
  8. Garnier Fructis moisturizer (for body) (5gh)
  9. Cotton balls (5gh)
  10. Facial foam (2gh)

Some the products mentioned had been in my stash for months! It doesn't take overnight to have them but if you can afford to have them, please do so. Now that I've had a few tips, I treat the face twice a day.
MORNING Routine

  1.  I cleanse with the baby face, then,
  2. Cleanse with the clear and clean.
  3. Next, I wash with the Acne wash
  4. Rinse with water and towel dry.
  5. Apply toner using cotton balls and clean the face with it.
  6. I follow up with the blemish control cream and finally,
  7.  the sun screen block. The exfoliating soap comes in once a week; I apply the soap on the face and scrub with the facial foam.  I'll be adding facial peels and night cream soon and I wish for Olay cleansing system or something else.

For NIGHT Routine

  •  The only thing different is skip the sun block. Also, once in the week I use Clear n Smooth Acne control. This is not to be rinsed off so instead of moisturizing, I apply that for bed time.
I've been doing this for about a week now and I noticed a GREAT  difference from day 1. My face is smoother, softer and has less breakouts! My only concern now is getting rid of dark spots. Any suggestions?

I hope to gradually find a steady routine. If you have any ideas, do share with me.
Update: You can now get the facial cleansing brush from kikuu (download the app from Google playstore)

How I make forever Clair Skin care products work for me

I've heard ladies complain about the forever Claire Skin care products  not working for them. Well, I nearly became one until I tweaked how I use it and since then, it's been a jolly good ride. I started using the Forever Claire products in July 2013 or so. What I've been doing is to using a cleanser first before applying any of the products. Well, I discovered the reason why the product didn't seem to be working well on its own. When using the cleanser, I'll dab a bit of cotton in it to clean my face. Apparently, it wasn't the cleanser that was doing the work, it was the cotton. The cotton was getting rid of dead cells by acting as an "exfoliating" material. It was cleaning the skin surface. One evening, I skipped the cleansing and decided to follow Hubby's method of cleaning his face. I used my sponge to gently rub the FC product on the face. This face scrubbing technique left my skin feeling soft and smooth just like when I use the cotton and cl...

The 60 Seconds Skin Care Rule

The 60 seconds rule regarding washing your face is a great technique that has been used by a lot of skin care addicts.  When washing your face, the one trick that can make a lot of difference in your skin is washing for 60 seconds! Once you apply your facial wash/cleanser/soap, you massage or sweep it around your face for 60 seconds. This allows the cleanser to penetrate the pores and clear the dirt off your skin. All the make up  can also be easily absorbed by your cleansing oil too. I began doing this technique a few weeks ago and it's definitely helped improve the feel of my skin after cleansing.  (check shop.ghanaianemprezz.com for all skin care products)
