Getting Rid Of Acne With Alata Samina

Back in the days, I used to see a lot of youtube ladies talk about getting rid of acne with alata samina aka African Black soap. If you've read about how I've come to  use African Black Soap aka alata samina in my facial regimen,  then,  you'll have guessed that the number one factor for the switch is acne.
I have an occasional acne breakout, usually at that time of the  month and it can be severe. For the past few days that I've been diligent in cleansing with the black soap, I've seen an improvement in the texture of the skin. Aside that, the African black soap is an all natural soap therefore I'm not exposing myself to unnecessary chemicals.

From being rough to more smooth texture and more even skin. The alata samina I use is the market one. There are other already processed black soaps with added fragrances but I don't want to use them because I don't know how those additives will affect the skin.

So,  how has my acne been?  Minimal so far. It's been almost 2 weeks and I've seen only one bump which has since disappeared. I'm keeping with the facial scrub after cleansing which is a step most people skip. The scrub helps with  deeper cleansing and exfoliating beyond the surface so it's essential you do this if you want to see results. The same applies if you are using Forever Clair products.

The only thing I have to do now is change the facial scrub I use as it's not working the way I'd like it to. I'm looking at restocking the nuage facial scrub plus a tea tree scrub (Lord, give me a car so I can move about easily). I believe the alata samina combined with the nuage facial scrub will be a fantastic mixture.

Placenta In Your Hair

Placenta or the popular brand, Placentyne leave in treatment has been with us for ages!  Keratin, which hair is made of, is a strong protein that can break down with sun exposure, wind, pollutants, daily maintenance, manipulation, heat tools, and chemical treatments like permanent color. This is where using protein treatments come in to help temporarily repair the hair strands. Protein treatments are used to add strength and resiliency to damaged hair by attaching hydrolyzed proteins directly to the hair follicle and hardening the cuticle layer. If there are holes in the hair cuticle, it will fill those holes or gaps while also placing a barrier around the hair shaft to lessen further damage. Most protein treatments are conditioning treatments. They can come be a deep conditioner, light, or reconstructor (heavy) (source:https://www.naturallycurly.com)  This placenta for hair acts as a protein reconstructor! This means it's a hard protein treatment  and should therefore strengthen y...

How To choose The Ordinary Vitamin C Serum

If you missed the post on the types of vitamin C serums carried by The Ordinary, then, just go through it and come back to this. Paula's Choice and The Ordinary seem to have a lot in common when it comes to formulations and I love that! Let's start with the highest form which is the L-ascorbic acid. This is found in the The Ordinary Vitamin C silicone and vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%.   Much like our Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% formula, this product also offers a suspension but in light silicones for a smooth, non-gritty skin finish. Despite the very light forms of silicones used, silicones do impair dermal exposure to Vitamin C slightly but the additional (30%) concentration of Vitamin C helps compensate for this slight inefficiency. A very strong tingling but non-irritating sensation is expected during the first 1-2 weeks of use until the skin's tolerance to such high exposure is elevated. If desired, this formula can be diluted in a cream base pe...
